Fever is a side effect of some biological therapies and may occur in patients who are receiving chemotherapy and biological therapy as part of the flu-like syndrome. Drug fever after cancer chemotherapy is most commonly observed on posttreatment days 3 and 4. Having cancer or treatment for cancer can weaken your immune system.
